Scheduled - On Saturday, September 22, 2018, Duke will upgrade the hardware that supports the Guest Access system via DukeHub (dukehub.duke.edu/). Guess Access allows a student to grant access to others in order for them to make payments on the Duke student account or to view aspects of the student's Duke record.

After the upgrade students will need to reauthorize access for any guest users if they wish to continue to grant access to their student account or their student record. Students may re-grant access beginning Monday, September 24, 2018.

Students should follow these instructions to re-grant guest access:

-Log in to DukeHub
-On the “Profile” tab, click the edit icon next to “Relationships/Student Proxy Access.”
-Click “Add” next to the relationships you wish to have access, verify their email address, and then select the specific elements you want them to have.
-You’ll be prompted to explicitly consent to the access.
-The system will generate an email invitation to your guest users (or Proxy) with links to either create a OneLink account or to log in using an existing active NetID or OneLink account.

Identified - The OIT Service Desk has received multiple reports that the search function for Outlook on the Web in Office 365 is returning the following message: “An error occurred while searching. Please try again later.” Multiple browsers are affected. This issue has been reported to Microsoft. The Outlook client is not affected.

Outlook Web Published Calendars - Degraded

Update - We are continuing to work on a fix for this issue.

Identified - Some published Outlook calendars are inaccessible and are returning “Bad Request” errors.

Published Outlook calendars have been configured so that a special Microsoft web server can host the calendar in HTML format (making them visible via a web browser). The problem appears to be with the Microsoft managed webserver.

Investigating - Multiple students, multiple locations, West/Central/East campus; appears to be widespread issue where users are either unable to connect/authenticate to networks, or are able to connect but receive no internet connectivity over the network.

OIT staff are currently investigating reports of service issues with Networking. We will post additional details as they become available.

Comodo SSL Certificate Issuance - Possible Service Issue

Investigating - Comodo, the vendor used to provide SSL certificates, appears to be experiencing delays with the issuance of new SSL certificates. This does not impact already issued SSL certificates.

Dukeblue Wireless - Security Certificate maintenance

Scheduled - Duke's wireless security certificate will be renewed by Duke's IT Security Office on September 13, 2018. This is standard practice to ensure that the Duke community has the most up-to-date and secure Wi-Fi.

If you use Dukeblue Wi-Fi, please consider the following:

· Most Dukeblue users will not see any interruption. If you are prompted to accept the new certificate after Thursday, please do so.

· However, if your device is not centrally managed download the Dukeblue profile before September 13 from launch.dukeblue.duke.edu and install it on all your wireless devices to ensure that there is no interruption. This will only take about two minutes.
